    waterfront access
    library resources
    luggage inconvenience

The location provides easy access to the waterfront, with plenty of coffee stops along the scenic walk. The nearby library holds valuable historical resources, perfect for research enthusiasts.

Getting luggage up the numerous stairs can be a hassle, especially without an elevator or ramp. The rooms could use a serious cleaning, with stained carpets and peeling wallpaper reducing the overall comfort. Additionally, noise from the hallways persisted late into the night, making it hard to relax.

    friendly staff
    convenient parking
    great location
    small pool area

Had an awesome time with friends here! We explored the waterfront and checked out a local museum, thanks to the helpful tips from the front desk. It’s a great spot for hanging out, and the staff was super friendly. Just a heads-up, parking can get a bit pricey, but it’s convenient.

One downside was the small pool area. It had an adult-only time which felt a bit limiting for families. It would be better if it was more family-friendly.

Barrington offers a prime location in downtown Halifax, making it easy to access local attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront. The Queen room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The on-site Tempo restaurant provided a delightful breakfast with options like freshly baked croissants, creating a pleasant start to each day. The staff was attentive and friendly, efficiently handling my requests.

I truly enjoyed the clean and fresh-looking lobby, which was welcoming, along with the convenient location close to downtown attractions, making it easy for me to explore without worrying about transportation.

We had a fantastic stay at The Barrington Hotel! The room was spacious with a comfortable seating area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Halifax. The location was also ideal, being a short walk from downtown attractions and the waterfront. The staff were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance, making our family feel truly welcome.

Not Worth the Hype for Families

The front desk staff were friendly altho it took a while to get any assistance, they did try their best to help us with our luggage when we arrived. Also, the location was very central which made it easy for us to go around with the kids and find food.

We paid a hefty price for this and it was so not worth it.
