the blow dryer in our bathroom sparked and blew out while i was getting ready to go out. we called front desk and no one responded until the next am after i called again prior to check out. my husband is a millwright and he understands the danger this situation could have caused if we had checked out and another patron had tried to use it...only prob we had
So that is a swimming pool? lol
It was quiet, convenient location and very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of great shops attached!
Wish they would have had a hot tub.
Location, and staff
Forgot to make up my room one night. Mandatory and costly valet parking.
The staff were helpful & friendly
In the midst of a major renovation. Elevator was so slow and there was not alternative stair access available. Only one elevator was working for all guests. Valet parking took 20 minutes to retrieve car. Room service needs to be left on a cart instead of trying to find place for trays. Also coffee was flavorless and not in a thermos carafe so it cooled too quickly.
The room was okay and the staff very pleasant.
First of all, Booked.net did not let us know that the hotel is undergoing major renovations. I would never have paid $194/night for a hotel under renovations - walking through a construction area to get to the elevators and checking in in a downstairs location was really inconconvenient. Also I have usually booked with Booked.net and did not realize the price quoted by Booked.net did not include taxes to be paid. With the cost of parking, our two day stay at the Delta Barrington was $501. On a vacation and in a small city, I did not expect to pay that cost for a two night stay. We would stay in the downtown area again however not at that hotel and definitely will not be booking our stay with Booked.net. when there are so many hidden costs above the quoted price.
Free WiFi in the lobby, close to shops, close to pubs.
No WiFi in room (cabled only), front desk staff not very knowledgeable of local services when asked.
I liked the idea that you could walk anywhere ie. casino , waterfront etc. without having to walk outside .
I like the fact we could check in early and check out late.
little parking tp checking into hotel
Front desk staff and concierge wer very helpful.
Hotel staff were extremly friendly, Valets were more then helpful.
I was very annoyed that I was not informed that the hotel was under renovations
We had a great stay! The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location is excellent for wandering the city. Even the other guests were really friendly. Great time!
The only complaint is the arrival; trying to pull up in front of the hotel was a most irritating experience. The hotel was so busy there was nowhere to park so we had to park in a lot around the corner, go check in, go back and keep circling to find a spot to park the car so we could give the keys to the valet. Whew! Just explaining that was exhausting, actually doing it was really frustrating. While that was the only issue, we will stay at the Delta Halifax next time due to the simplicity of the parking.....sorry.
Close to downtown shops
Under renovation....wait to register fairly long Sink and tub in room didn't drain well; very slow Price was high considering the inconvenience of all that was going on
